Since 1956 Peter Lyons has been involved in the insurance business. Through The Lyons Company, Peter provides assistance to clients in the areas of estate conservation, wealth accumulation and charitable giving. Of particular interest to Peter are the business owners. Over half of his clients are founders and owners of privately-held companies.
Peter is a Qualifying and Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table and Top of the Table since 1980, as well as International Forum since 1986. Peter earned the New York Life Council Presidency in 1982, Council Vice Presidency in 1980 and he has been an agent for New York Life for over 47 years. Peter is very active in the Boston area. He is past Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Boston Ballet, a former Director of the Boston Lyric Opera, a Trustee of The Catholic Schools Foundation and serves on the board of The Four Arts Society in Palm Beach, FL.
Peter's son-in-law, Jim Hart, has been working at The Lyons Company as a New York Life agent since 2005. He graduated cum laude from Clark University with a B.A. in Economics, and received his J.D. degree from Pepperdine University School of Law with a concentration in tax and estate planning. Since joining New York Life, he has qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table, Presidents Council and obtained his Chartered Life Underwriter designation. Jim is active in the Boston area. He is a member of the Power Lunch Program and a former board member for Billy’s Buddies, a patient advocacy program for melanoma patients and their caregivers.
His wife, Kerry, is assistant to her father, Peter Lyons and to Jim.
